Here are my observations:1. Easy to assemble. -put base where you want it to sit - assemble the spout on the water tank (screw it on as instructed) -add provided filter into the top piece and set on top of the tank - place lid on the top2. I tested the water before and after running through the filter into the tank. *see image, filtered water is the glass on the right side, darker blue - alkaline in my Tap Water: approximately 7.5 - alkaline after being filtered from the Opti Drop 3 Gallon Alkaline Water Filter: * 8+3. Chlorine testing: Filter removed chlorine. See image, the clear water in glass is from filter.4. We can make our own Alkaline water by adding some Baking Soda. Adding Baking Soda will not filter the water but will increase the Ph. in my personal tests, no matter the quantity of baking soda the alkaline never got higher than what this filter did.I am pleased with this water filter unit to sit on my counter. I can fill it as it gets a bit lower and still have ample filtered water ready. I use the water for everything, cooking, drinking, watering plants and giving water to my fur-babies.I want filtered water and find it a plus that it also increases the PH of the water without me needing to mix anything into my water.
