I have been using these for a couple years. Always work well, never an issue.This filter I've purchased twice and both times worked perfect in our ge side by side.I only use the Ice machine for my already filtered water spout near my sink and boy was I blown away! As has happened occasionally the past, the first time it was installed, it made a terrible racket and we took it out and tried installing again. Usually that fixes the problem. This brand of filter has always done a good job for us over many years.
