Meter works great. Nice little unit. The 3/8" pipe fittings that come with it (one pair for 1/4" plastic, the other for 3/8" plastic flex-pipe) are NOT tapered as i'd normally expect on pipe threads. So... the enormous amount of teflon tape they came pre-wrapped with looked like WAY too much. So I unwound the tape to what looked like the right thickness for a tapered fitting and... sonofagun! it leaked! So I unscrewed the fitting and rewound a foot or so of the teflon tape back on... which gave me a nice tight seal. the other possible source of leak is of course between the black O-ring deep inside the fitting and the plastic pipe. First: cut the pipe clean and square; no burrs. I used a sharp straight-edge razor blade. I also put a dab of silicone grease on the cut ends to ensure they slipped easily all the way into and through the O-rings. The pipe should travel about a little ways (1/8 to 3/16"?) after entering the o-ring... and then hit a definite bottom. After it bottome out give the pipe a little tug in the back-out direction to ensure it's well seated... then slip in the snap-ring to keep it in place. THERE WAS NEVER LEAKAGE around my 1/4" plastic pipe.
